What happens to the app when I don’t have Wi-Fi or mobile data?

The Whitespace mobile app is relatively frugal with risk data in mobile use, although consideration needs to be given to the size of attachments. In testing the app works well in areas with an intermittent connection, for example train and car journeys (the latter as a passenger, of course).

 

However, there are times where no mobile or Wi-Fi signal is available. The mobile app is designed to support offline use. You can see the status of your connection here:

 

The red cross shows that you are offline:

 

 

The green tick shows that you are online:

 

 

When offline, you can review risks, compare versions, send chat messages and draft changes, but your work will not be visible to others until you are online again. Legally significant actions, such as putting down a stamp, cannot be completed while offline.
